YUMA, ARIZONA

Hi. We are having a wonderful time in Yuma. The weather here is fantastic!!! The people here are very friendly and we have met new friends from northern AZ. Having a great time.

We have been swimming, playing pool almost everyday, shopping, casinos, a ride to the sand dunes in CA., playing cards, taking pool lessons (me). Here are a few pics from the area.
The pics of the Teepee is campers "dry camping" in the foothills north of here. That means no electricity (they use solar panels), no water (except what they carry in tanks underneath), and no sewers. NOT FOR THIS WOMAN!!! The helicopter is in the military proving grounds on the way to the place the people "dry camp".
Still missing the grandkids and kids etc. but having a good time inspite of that. Enjoying the warmth here....it's great.

YUMA PRISON

Spent the day riding around Yuma. We went to the old part of downtown and also to the Yuma Prison. A couple of movies were made at the prison in the 1940"s. The prison opened in 1876 and closed in 1908. It seems as though the prisoners had it really rough. Of course, as usual, Young loved every minute of it.

Chloride Beds in Desert in California

On our drive back to Joshua Tree, CA, we went on the Amboy Rd. past the chloride beds. They look like snow. Drove by this several times and figured this may be the last time; so, we took pictures of it this time.

2008 Christmas Home in Michigan!!!!

Merry Christmas!

We flew home for two weeks and enjoyed seeing the kids, grandkids and Mom. Oh yeah,

friends too!!! We ended up with "Jet Lag" but that never seems to go away. (all the travel and

stuff) Loved on the grandkids lots... but miss them again. Got lots of kisses and hugs. So good to see Kelly, Jeff and Randy, Mom and Ron and Kay too. :)

Left to go back to the warm weather on New Year's Eve.
